My two main passions (besides my children :)) and God) are yoga and nutrition. My intention is to share with you, ways to bring healing into your life.
Yoga is a transformational practice. It can still and focus the mind, creating a space of clarity and mindfulness. It guides our focus inward, to the stillness within. To the space inside where the spirit of God lives. It helps to create a state of reflection, of prayer, of meditation. At the same time it is very concrete in the material world of body: opening and renewing the body, strengthening, toning, relaxing, healing and de-stressing the body.
And while it is true that we are not this body, still, it is what carries us through this human life. For me, this is where yoga and nutrition intermix so greatly. Yoga guides us within, while nutrition supports the body in this exploration.
Through great nutrition we respect ourselves, guiding us into a state of long-term health so that we can live long, healthy, vibrant and purpose-filled lives. Our body is a temple. If we treat it as such with our daily choices, it will heal. Our body was designed to heal. Our role is to create the environment for it to function optimally.
After intensely journeying through my own healing experience with the Gerson Therapy, I learned first hand the enormous power of real food. Because of this experience, I want to empower others, to educate on the healing potential within each of our bodies and within our lifestyle choices.
I work from a perspective of understanding the systems of the body and the nutritional requirements at a cellular level. Looking at all areas of a clients diet and lifestyle to provide targeted information, supplementation and dietary changes in a simplified day to day way.
I have had the privilege to teach yoga for over ten years, in Montreal, Mexico and Stratford, and have spent an equal amount of years studying health and healing on my own and am now studying with the Edison Institute of Nutrition to become a holistic nutritional counselor. My vision is to continually study and learn up to date evidence based ways to nourish the body and share this knowledge with many people.
